The technology used in school database systems now means that the contact sheets we once all used to for teachers to stick to children’s school record cards is now out of date. Most schools now want their photographer to supply digital images on CD-ROM with the child’s name or school number attached ready to upload on to their database.

School Pictures International of Mansfield has produced a new system to do just this. Quick and easy to use ImageLinx will fully automate the process of linking the student ID number to the school database. It will work with all the main school database systems in use today.

The software developed by School Pictures International and first shown in summer 2003 has been designed with speed and ease of use in mind to keep the distractions to the photographer on shoot day to a minimum. Using the software is simple just follow the on screen prompts. Most can be working with the software within half an hour.

Uniquely it is not necessary to link the camera and the computer, this allows the photographer far more freedom of movement while working than any other system.
